Nearly fifty original works can be discovered in this exhibition organized at La Petite Orangerie de Sens until Sunday January 5, 2025. Posters, lithographs, serigraphs, digigraphs, photographs and prints interact in a tour designed by Sabine Legrand, “where technique is almost more important than aesthetics. The idea was really to emphasize different types of impression,” claims the visual artist.
The works presented – “each highlighted for what they are” – are precisely the fruit of long research work on the part of the association of Gron and Sabine Legrand. “I had the opportunity to acquire old posters from several private collectors. » Originals dated from the 1970s-1980s and signed by “historical” artists (read list below), like these lithographs by Masson (1970) and Dalí (1965), “the oldest presented here”. But not only…
Names such as Pincemin, Gaudaire-Thor or Trescarte-Crespy can therefore be found on site.
In addition, more than ten small formats can be consulted, from a fund that the Senonese visual artist “has been building up for a year and the holding of a dedicated exhibition called “Sirius””.

All these works can in fact “be purchased”, reports the one who is very attached to artistic mediation. “I always take the time to discuss production techniques with visitors. » And to show that if each work carries a value, art remains accessible, contrary to popular belief.

About. “From the singularity of each piece in the editions or the artists’ bias in repetition, the multiple imposes itself as a work of art in its own right. Through shapes and colors, it is a vector for the dissemination of ideas. It leads the artist’s thoughts towards the greatest number of people,” explains Sabine Legrand, who organized this private meeting on behalf of the Gron association, Sols Majeurs, in the presentation text of the exhibition.
