Karaoke of the month becomes almost a must, more and more appreciated, at the Relais de Fashion (Côtes-d’Armor). Launched in April 2023, this festive evening has found its feet, its audience and a great reputation.

There are of course people from the Lézardrieux Peninsula but also from elsewhere, from Pontrieux, Plouézec, Tréguier… “At the turntables”, a team of accomplices with Hélène, François and Olivier.

What I like about it is that it’s inclusive. There are young people, old people, poor people, rich people, men and women.

Olivier

Olivier, a lover of songs and music, is also a musician: “People feel considered, they have the opportunity to take a placeduring the time of a song, it’s the context that creates, puts people at ease.”

A very varied audience

And what is the directory? Hélène, one of the three pillars of these evenings at the Relais de Lanmodez, considers it “varied, wide and broad. We offer a list of songs with their performers, and when we don’t have it, we do a search to respond to the person’s request. » Piaf, Johnny, Céline Dion and many others are often there.

The audience is also very varied, sometimes we have children of 10/12 years old, sometimes even younger, recently we had a 101 year old lady who sang to us “Le petit vin blanc”, on Friday there were young people who ‘we’ve never seen it before’.

Olivier speaks of these evenings with enthusiasm but he is also keen to improve things: “What has changed over time is that I say a few words between two songs, it’s fun, the fact of taking the word, this one side live showit creates a connivance with those who listen…”.

Olivier spoke about inclusion, we can add social bonds, recognition, benchmarks, the freedom to say, to sing, to dance, all these words represent paths to explore to live better together.
