The good news seems to come one after the other when we talk about the USAP infirmary. After the return last week of Jake McIntyre three months after his pectoral muscle operation, another executive made his return this Friday during the traditional weekly training open to the public and the press. This is second row Marvin Orie.

Absent from the field since October 19 and the reception (29-26 victory), the South African returned to collective training, wearing a colored chasuble to avoid too intense contact. For good reason, Marvin Orie suffered from a herniated disc. He had surgery at the beginning of November to ensure a return to 100% of his abilities.

The second row has resumed the race and is participating in skills training. It is still exempt from certain exercises linked to the touch, such as carried balls in particular. It is also still too early to know when Marvin Orie will be fit to play again, even if his return would do the greatest good to a bunch of destitute blood and gold forwards.

Returns in perspective

Jake McIntyre continues his gradual recovery. Still with a distinctive bib, he was able to play again in opposition, while continuing his specific work, on the sidelines, at the end of training. “We continue to restart it gradually, without taking any risks with it”explained the Catalan head coach, David Marty.

Note also that this Friday was an opportunity for certain players to resume the race away from the group. Jefferson-Lee Joseph, Mathieu Tanguy, Giorgi Tetrashvili and Patrick Sobela trained separately for more than an hour. Nemo Roelofse was absent and could also be absent for the reception this Sunday (6 p.m.) due to gastro.
