The year 2024 is coming to an end. Want to close it and move on to the next one, waving your legs and hair without respite? It’s possible. In Marmandais, the first electro evening of the year is being prepared at the Château de La Grave Béchade, in Baleyssagues. Organized by Anamorphose, a local association, and the Octofolies festival, this 12-hour evening, with techno and clubbing house accents, will allow you to slide from 2024 to 2025 in music and partying.

The two organizations join forces to get New Year’s Eve revelers dancing for the third year in a row. On December 31, therefore, from 9 p.m., it will be possible to choose between two rooms, for two different atmospheres: the Octofolies room, from 9 p.m. and until 7 a.m., and the Anamorphose room, from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next day. Enough to test your endurance to see what this extra year will look like.
“Our goal is that people can celebrate the new year in the best possible setting, in complete conviviality,” explains Fabrice Hournon, permanent member of the Duras Animations association. Several hundred people are expected throughout the night.
This year, a duo from Toulouse on the rise will offer a powerful and immersive live performance, combining technical expertise and strong creative identity: Binary Squad. His productions draw from a wide spectrum of influences, oscillating between techno, bass music, hard music and rap. In total, 12 artists are scheduled throughout the night.
A focus on prevention
Public safety and prevention are also at the heart of the organizing team’s concerns. Strong alcohol will not be served, there will only be beer and champagne. Breathalyzers and earplugs will be distributed. In addition, a team trained in welcoming the voices of victims of gender-based and sexual violence (SGBV) will be on site to supervise the festivities.
Shuttles will provide the connection between the Château de Duras, scene of the Anamorphose festival in July, and that of La Grave Béchade, which usually hosts the Octofolies festival in May. Makeup and designer stands will also be present, as well as a space dedicated to catering (cuisine from short circuits, organic and made over a wood fire).
