God chose us.
Ephesians 1.4
When it comes to God’s will for my life, He decides it and I discover it. I can miss out and be unhappy, or I can do things my way and experience a “glorious and inexpressible joy” (1 Peter 1.8, Current French). The choice is mine.
And if by chance I do not know his will for my life, I pray this prayer: “Father, I am tired of going through life without any real purpose, because it gives you no glory. You created all living beings, including me, to give you pleasure. I know you have a specific job for me. Your Word says that you formed me in the womb to be your servant (Isaiah 49:5). I get a lot of advice and recommendations from other people, but I need to know the path you have chosen for me. Help me to no longer ignore and minimize the gifts and talents with which you have invested in me, and to no longer act as if they had no importance.
I know we are all called to serve and I need your help in discerning when and how I should serve. I want to accomplish what you intended for me to do and not be distracted by wrong priorities, busy work, or the wants and demands of others.
At the end of my life, I want to be able to look back and say like Jesus: “I have glorified you on earth; I have completed the work you gave me to do” (Jean 17.4). Amen”.
Elisten to the voice of God
Do you sometimes question the purpose of your earthly existence? Take the time to listen to what God wants to say to you about this.
Simply talking to God, as you do with your closest friend, is prayer. You can contact him like this: “Lord, I love you and I want to serve you and my brothers and sisters with zeal and joy. Show me how to do it. I want to succeed in my life with you and for you. Amen!”

To praise God is to show him our gratitude. Today, what are your subjects of recognition related to the theme of this message? Take a time to thank the Lord for each of them. Bless him too because he will continue to guide you day after day!
Aact today
If you are a very young convert, you have already begun to “serve God”, perhaps without knowing it: you have spoken about Jesus to those around you, and expressed your joy at having met him. He is your reason for living and He will show you every day how to walk with Him and serve Him.
Hhonor the Lord
Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
“Thank you Lord Jesus, my life finds all its meaning in you and with you. You are my reason for being on this earth! Yours be the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen!“
