In , chef Marc Dussaud visits the Abeille social center to share his recipes

“You brightened up our afternoon”said as she left a resident of Abeille who had come to pick up her Christmas package, to Marc Dussaud, the chef. “creator of culinary events” came to present to the social center some simple recipes for the holidays.

Because if the tenants' association delivered 950 Christmas packages to residents of nearby towns this week, the director of the Abeille social center ensured that each day a different activity was offered during the distribution of the packages: “We do everything we can to promote intergenerationalism and living together,” he declared. And it works!

On Monday, residents organized a brunch; Tuesday, the Tout Visuel association came to interview residents about their history, but also their present, for a video; Wednesday is the demo by chef Marc Dussaud. Young people even got involved in distributing packages to people who could not travel, by visiting them.

A passion born at the Méditerranée high school

“At high school the teachers worked with Mediterranean products, and they gave me the keys,” he admits. And even though his studies led him to cook in many countries, he loves to favor local ingredients. Having graduated in 2001, chef Marc Dussaud has continued to reinvent himself. Referenced in the Gault et guide in 2023 and 2024, he joined Euro-Toques, the only association of 250 chefs officially recognized by the European Commission, whose aim is to preserve the quality of the profession and the producers.

“I cultivate my garden; herbs, pineapple sage, edible flowers, with mixed wild fennel I make scented salts, and I enjoy revisiting the recipes: fish with verbena, ceviche with garden flowers, etc.” In the center, we tasted its wraps with smoked salmon, cream and verbena from the garden, its mushroom risotto, the pumpkin velouté from its organic garden…

And, not only does Marc Dussaud have taste and ideas, but he loves sharing his know-how. Event caterer and home chef in the and the entire Paca region, he offers a tailor-made culinary experience, each dish enhances natural flavors and delights the taste buds. Its “chef’s plancha” is a unique concept for convivial moments.
