The first of them, writing. “Since I was a teenager, I have dreamed of becoming a children’s author. » It took several decades before Sylvie dared to get started.
Last year, for the first time in her life, she took part in a Christmas story competition in the Vosges, and immediately won the Saint Nicholas price 2023 ! First Christmaswhose illustrations were created by his daughter Coline, is published by Ex Æquo editions.
It tells the story of the birth of a friendship between Jeanne, an old lady librarian, and a young boy, Adam. She made him discover and love reading. Having become inseparable, Adam will end up discovering the secret by Jeanne…
At the same time, Sylvie Fisbach is trying her luck with J'aime Lire. The children's literature magazine, very popular with 7-10 year olds, has been published since 1977 by the French group Bayard Press. Published in 300,000 copies, these are more than one million young readers who devour it every month!
Here again, luck smiled on Sylvie. His talent undoubtedly also has a lot to do with it. She signs the great story, entitled The Christmas Castawayswhich is on the cover of the December 2024 issue!
A long journey
The general public doesn't know it, but to be published by J'aime Lire, it takes time.
The text goes to a reading committee before being validated after the so-called “class” test, where students give their opinion. There is also a editorial choiceal between different genres of stories, to vary the pleasures.
As a result, a validated text can be found in the magazine for several months, or even several years after its writing. This is the case of Sylvie who sent in August 2022 her story evoking a little left-handed boy in the 1930s and which will appear in… 2025.
“Recognition of my work”

His writing projects are still numerous, including one epistolary novel of a 15-year-old girl, a story she has been working on for several years.
Alongside this activity as an author, Sylvie Fisbach also entered the wonderful world of stories and has been working for two years as storyteller at the Château de Breteuil, in Choisel (Yvelines), under the name of Philo.
