C‘is like meeting up with old friends… who haven’t grown up. Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, a hair on his tongue, a stutter and a series of blunders: nothing, really nothing has changed since the last time. And this is not to displease us. Twenty years later Looney Tunes takes action (half-animation, half-live action, with Brendan Fraser) and more than eighty years (!) after their debut on the big screen in the Looney Tunes strip (Porky & Daffy, short film from 1938), the bittern duck and the brave pig take up arms again to save the Earth from an extraterrestrial threat… housed in a chewing gum with zombifying properties!
« Do you think it can pay to be an influencer? » In this exciting adventure, with regulatory explosions and well-intentioned gags, the Daffy and Porky of 2025 also find the time to scratch the surface of today’s spectators. The winks play with nostalgia, served by an animation full of vanishing lines, disproportionate perspective and bizarre angles. A great genre exercise!
Looney Tunes: Daffy and Porky Save the World by Peter Browngardt, will be released in theaters on February 12, 2025. In the meantime, discover its trailer exclusively on Telerama.fr
