And it will be rich since the unmissable cultural event of the Jura region will celebrate a double anniversary: the 20th anniversary of the festival and the 120th anniversary of the place where it is held, the legendary building of the former Stand de Moutier.
The Victor show (June 27 and 28) will also retrace the history of the old wooded building. Alain Tissot (president of the festival and famous drummer from Provost) will provide the music with the Le Grand Eustache orchestra, the actor Thierry Romanens will be in charge of the narration and the cartoonist Pitch Comment will be in charge of the live illustration. “It will also be a metaphor for the transformation of a wasteland into a place of culture and the struggles that this implies to make the artistic accessible to as many people as possible,” indicates Alain Tissot. Other festivities linked to these jubilees will be announced soon.
Volcanic eruption on stage with the group Magma
One of the biggest headliners of the edition has also been revealed. This is the world famous French jazz-rock group created in 1969, Magma. “It will be madness! Their own universe and language will attract fans from far and wide. The group has already announced on its website its coming to Moutier. Ticket requests have therefore flooded in. This is why we have already opened the ticket office .” Verdi’s opera Nabucco will also be on view next summer.
As for the sustainability of the inter-Jura event once Moutier is in the Jura, Alain Tissot indicates that no decision has been taken for the moment. However, he assures that there is an interest in both cantons to soon sit around a table to discuss and find solutions.
