Within the priority Hippodrome Racecourse district, the Le Carrousel social center is never left behind in creating synergies and developing initiatives allowing residents to express themselves and get involved in projects. Among the most notable, La Marche enchantée, now L’Hiver enchanté, is today a metropolitan event. Thanks to the original creations of the artists, in the middle of winter, the du Bouscat offers an unreal strangeness and phantasmagoria.

From 2025, this emblematic Enchanted Winter will undergo a transformation: it will transform into a new project called New Roots. New roots, for a new era of in the Bois du Bouscat. But above all, this seasonal event will become a living and dynamic cultural space all year round.

Make way for art

From Friday, December 20, in the heart of the Bois du Bouscat, between the Lyautey and Champ de courses residences, the New Roots project aims to support creation, cultural dynamism, community engagement and sustainable development. Its implementation is entrusted to a newly created association: LiBeR. It is an artistic and cultural structure welcoming artists and creators in residence.

Thus, Julien Mouroux, Land Art artist, will show the common core of evolving and suspended collective creation. Bouscatais Florian Gestas, stainless steel sculptor, will lead the participatory project “Epiphytes”, which invites people to bring imaginary plants to life. A collective work, the “Empreintes” project is an artistic collaboration, between photography and painting, led by Racha and Eléart, who pay homage to family, cultural and personal roots.

A third place between art, nature and life, L’Orée, imagined by AbrOsmoz and Le Carrousel, with the help of a landscaper, an architect, the CCAS du Bouscat, Habitat and residents will see the light of day horizon of 2025.

To participate in the project: 05 56 57 03 49. Friday December 20, from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Free entry. Meeting with the artists. Refreshments and treats.
