The director of the Festival, Abbari Abdellah, indicated that this artistic event, which continues until December 17, constitutes a special opportunity to present the works of young directors, while facilitating dialogue on the major issues linked to education, childhood and youth.
And to specify that the event carries an inspiring slogan aimed at promoting the spirit of citizenship and a culture of belonging, and adopts a vision which makes this edition an interactive cultural meeting point and a “training” space for the benefit of all members of the Moroccan cinematographic community.
This edition is distinguished by a varied program targeting various categories of society and professionals in the field of education, such as teachers, educators and facilitators, he said.
This ceremony was marked by a presentation of the 10 short films which are in competition, as well as the jury for this edition which is made up of Ammar Al-Ibrahim, Fatima Aglaz, Fahd Ghaidi. It was also marked by a tribute paid to the writer-journalist Ahmed Sijlmassi, to the actor Nabil Atif, as well as to the Omani artist Taleb Ben Mohamed Al-Belouchi.
In a similar statement, actor Nabil Atif expressed his deep gratitude for the tribute, noting that “educational cinema has always had an important place in my career, and I am delighted to see that it continues to gain importance.”
“Cinema is a powerful vector for transmitting values, and it is through these kinds of events that we can truly touch the minds of younger generations,” he added.
The festival offers numerous creative workshops and seminars allowing professionals and amateurs to meet and collaborate on the creation of inspiring educational short films for the city of Casablanca.
