Several weeks after the start of the school year, Arts & Scène, the intercommunal artistic education center of the Pays de Cajarctakes stock of its workforce. Every week, 264 students (music, theater, dance, etc.) attend the center. New for 2024, a adult choir was created and a artistic discovery trail is offered to children.

The Cajarc Arts & Stage center is well attended

Relying on members of the office who are very involved on a daily basis, the Pays de Cajarc intercommunal artistic education center offers comprehensive artistic and musical education for young and old alike.

Four employees left the establishment at the end of the previous school year. As a result, three new teachers/students were recruited in the clarinet, choir and theater workshop disciplines as well as a new administrative assistant for the 2024-2025 school year.

With its various partnerships, the Arts & Scène center is welcoming 264 students this year from all disciplines and all artistic practices.

Around forty students are registered in the Dance and Theater departments. The numbers in the music department are stable compared to the previous year and include 132 students to which should be added 22 middle school students registered in the Orchestra at School system.

In addition, in order to raise awareness among the youngest (kindergartens), one hour per week is devoted to musical awareness during the TAP (Extracurricular Activity Time) in partnership with the social center « La LoCollective ».

An adult choir was created this year, it already has 22 singers.

An artistic discovery trail has also been opened. This course is intended for children in Grande section-CP who do not have a precise idea of ​​the artistic discipline they wish to learn. Its aim is to give the student the opportunity to refine their choice for the following year. Throughout the year, children enrolled in this course receive 21 hours of music, 3 hours of dance and 3 hours of theater.

Around fifteen hearings-demonstrations is planned during the school year to allow students to perform in a concert situation. The first event called discovery audition took place on October 18, 2024 at the auditorium. The next discovery audition will take place before the Christmas holidays, also in the auditorium.
