The principle of Jumpthe latest show from the El Nucleo company, scheduled from December 17 to 22 au Célestins theater has Lyonis simple. It involves, for each of the eleven performers, flying for ten minutes during the hour that this Jump.
“To jump is to try to move forward, to start again, to reinterpret. It’s also accepting to fall, to get hurt. Accept the scars, marks of life, left by failed attempts. But don’t give up, start again and again. And make the fear of jumping a driving force to move forward. Indeed, it is in no way a question of looking down on the world but rather of questioning and reflecting on our body in general, on the way in which the social game experiences it through the construction of classifications, genres, different conditions and geographies.

Various apparatus, removable stairs make up as many traps as well as springboards to rise above the ground and overcome gravity for an instant to find yourself in weightlessness.
A sort of laboratory for experimenting with inequalities, Jump explores the leap literally and figuratively, allowing us to go deeper in reflection without remaining on the surface of things.
So Edward Aleman et Sophie Colleuhis assistant, takes us towards the big leap, that towards elsewhere and the unknown, that which remains unresolved, or in suspension!
