Good news for nostalgic fans and even lovers of concerts in exceptional locations. The traditional candlelight concert by professors from the Blagnac conservatory will make its grand return to the Saint-Pierre church tomorrow at 9 p.m.
For several years this show, eagerly awaited by Blagnac residents, had been repositioned in the auditorium of the conservatory which only accepts around a hundred people while the religious building holds double that number. This return will therefore delight fans.
For the occasion, the candelabras will be generously decorated with candles giving the place a unique and intimate atmosphere. The program will be varied and eclectic, mixing classics by great composers, jazz standards, improvisations and surprises. We will notably hear original compositions by Joël Trolonge, professor of double bass at the conservatory, the “Songs of the wandering companion” by Gustav Malher, who will bring together on stage all the music teachers of the establishment, a trio of Brahms for violin, cello and piano, a piece by Rachmaninoff for six-handed piano.
