Sexual assault on minors: an actor from the series “Sex Education” found guilty

A British actor who appeared in the series “Sex Education” was allegedly found guilty of 26 sex crimes, while he took advantage of individual acting lessons to force underage girls to undress or simulate sexual scenes.

“He is a predator,” insisted prosecutor Andrew Wallace, describing actor Alexander Westwood as a “bad apple” and a “manipulator”, for whom sexual offenses were “a habit, a lifestyle” , according to the BBC on Tuesday.

After denying the 26 charges against him, the 24-year-old Briton was found guilty on Tuesday by the jury at the Wolverhampton court in England, reported the British media.

According to the evidence presented to the jury, the young actor would have developed a fascination with pornography since his youth, while his crimes would have taken place between 2010 and September 2021.

During this period, he would land small roles in series like “Sex Education”, Doctors and the film Outlawed, before using his new notoriety to offer acting lessons.

“He met two impressionable 16-year-old girls and used his revered position to abuse them. [L’une d’entre elles] had ambitions to become an actress. She organized classes with him and, over time, the accused was able to commit the most despicable acts,” the prosecutor continued in court, according to BBC.

Between November 2020 and September 2021, he allegedly touched, sexually assaulted and filmed the young actress naked, telling her to “trust” the teacher, before threatening her with a false contract supposedly forcing her to follow 365 lessons with him, otherwise she would have to pay up to 36,000 pounds sterling, or $65,000.

At the same time, he allegedly forced another victim to undress to perform a scene from Greek mythology between a father and his daughter, before touching her breasts and genitals.

“It’s just part of acting,” he allegedly insisted to the young girl after she ended the lessons by expressing her discomfort, according to the British media.

The actor was also allegedly found repeatedly assaulting a minor victim, forcing her to watch pornography, touching her and inciting her to engage in sexual activity, in what has been called an “extraordinary catalog of abuse” that occurred “hundreds of times,” noted the BBC.

These attacks were allegedly repeated against another child, a young boy, when he was between 9 and 10 years old, as well as against an adult woman whom he allegedly held on the ground and raped between September 2020 and October 2021.

Found guilty across the board, the actor will receive his sentence next February.
