A historic show
The American group, formed in the early 1990s, only achieved success in the mid-2000s, driven by Fergie’s iconic voice. Now replaced by J. Rey Soul, the current lineup consists of will.i.am, Taboo and apl.de.ap. Their greatest success remains I Gotta Feelinga 2009 hit in collaboration with David Guetta.
With more than 80 million records sold, the Black Eyed Peas are among the most popular groups of all time. “Their music remains marked by a festive atmosphere, inherited from their collaboration with David Guetta, where each title thrills clubs and private parties.”explains Julien Lavergne, director of AZ Prod, organizer of their concert. “Chambord Live perpetuates the tradition of cultural and artistic exchanges, definitively registering this place, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1981, as an essential summer festive marker. The alchemy between popular artists and an exceptional place transcends the event”added the organizer.
The group will begin a tour in France this summer with four dates on the program. They will open the ball at the Château de Chambord, before performing at the Beauregard festival in Hérouville-Saint-Clair (Calvados) on July 2, at the Fête du Bruit in Saint-Nolff (Morbihan) on July 4, and finally at the Garorock festival in Marmande (Lot) on July 6. Last year, David Guetta, another icon of the music scene, sold 30,000 tickets for his concert in less than ten minutes.
