Troubadours 972 continues its Christmas tour from the North to the South of the island. Saturday December 7, 2024, the group dressed in red and gold this year, promoted the “fathers and mothers of Christmas”, on the heights of the Morne Pitault district between the towns of Lamentin and François. This moment of sharing between the public, the musicians and the choristers was an opportunity to present new melodies transformed into hymns, but always respectful of the traditional soul of the rhythms.
Morne Pitault located between Lamentin and François, resonated with the sound of the songs of Troubadours 972, one of the groups most requested for the “Chanté Nwèl” in Martinique.
With their new red and gold costumes, they were received with pomp in the neighborhood where they honored fathers and mothers for Christmas, Saturday December 7, 2024.

For the leaders of Troubadours 972, Christmas is above all a family and intergenerational celebration. It is therefore necessary to constantly revise the repertoire and concepts to please everyone, while preserving traditional roots.
The group “Les Troubadours 972”, over the years, has become a master in the art of communing with the public. This musical locomotive created a coordination which knows how to captivate spectators.

“The song on the page” is one of the “communication codes” of the group with the crowd, Troubadours 972, which also takes care of its invitation leaflets and especially the musical accuracy on stage, because nothing is left to chance. The participants are in unison, like Sylvie, Annick (living in Paris), and all the others.
And in order to respect and perpetuate tradition, Troubadours is constantly looking for new inspirations and adaptations of popular tunes. It’s the business of the gang of Êve Vautor, Charles Rémion, Jefferson Défrel, Philippe Rapinier, Cindy and Dominique Lorté.

The drums punctuate the party, the keyboard enhances the cadence, the drums, the “Ti-Bwa”, the “Tom Basse” give the rhythm, while the guitar transmits the suave side of the refrains.
