“You will very soon be summoned by the Bordeaux prosecutor who will determine the date and the penitentiary establishment in which you will serve two years of detention”released the president of the Melun court on November 20, 2024 to Pierre Palmade.
On that date, the 56-year-old comedian was being tried for “aggravated unintentional injuries”after the accident he caused on February 10, 2023 near Villiers-en-Bière, a village south of Melun, in Seine-et-Marne.
On board his Peugeot 3008, Muriel Robin's ex-sidekick had suddenly strayed into the left lane and hit a vehicle coming in the opposite direction, causing injuries to three passengers, including a pregnant woman of six month and a half who lost her baby following the shock.
The artist, awaiting his summons
While the courts sentenced Pierre Palmade to 5 years in prison, two of which were closed, he was awaiting his incarceration. The president of the court only indicated that he would soon be summoned by the Bordeaux prosecutor to organize his entry into prison.
But according to the information from RTLthe 56-year-old comedian could quickly end up behind bars. And this, even before the Christmas holidays. Indeed, according to our colleagues, Pierre Palmade has a meeting in the coming days with the Bordeaux prosecutor.
Pierre Palmade would have an appointment with the Bordeaux prosecutor
“Justice must indicate to the comedian that he will have to report to the Bordeaux-Gradignan penitentiary center before Christmas”specifies RTL.
Still according to our colleagues, Muriel Robin's ex-acolyte would have ““We are already meeting at the Bordeaux public prosecutor's office, where he resides, within three weeks.” Indeed, a magistrate in charge of the execution of sentences “will notify him of the court's decision as well as the terms of execution”.
For this meeting, Pierre Palmade will not be able to be represented and will therefore have to make an appearance. In addition, he will be able to find out the place and date of his incarceration.
Moreover, RTL recalls that, traditionally, “in the event of a deferred committal warrant, justice provides for a close date of incarceration, in the days following this meeting with the magistrate in charge of executing the sentences”.
