A few years ago, the comedian cheated on his current partner and mother of his two children. An episode that he wanted to tell in his show, as well as to Frédéric Lopez.

Sunday evening, Frédéric Lopez received Audrey Dana, Louis Chedid and Baptiste Lecaplain . During the show, the latter made a surprising confession which “stunned” the host of the France 2 program. After speaking at length about his childhood and his beginnings as a comedian, he spoke with emotion about his daughter and her… infidelity.

“The growing success, the rooms are full, people look at you and suddenly, very pretty girls look at you. I hadn't known anyone else apart from my partner at the time so I knew that at some point… She told me: “I imagine it will tickle in one place”. And I actually meet someone and I have a double life for three monthssaid Baptiste Lecaplain. The moment I decide to stop with my mistress – because I had a mistress, it must be said – I have to stop it, it's not good at all, she finds out the next day and She's leaving mehe added.

Seeing the comedian “at the bottom of the hole”his manager decided to organize a meeting with his ex-partner in the hope that they would reconcile. “It’s happening in an absolutely chaotic wayremembered Baptiste Lecaplain. I see my ex who is outside, who has a cold look and things are going very badly. She tells me that: “If you want to get me back, you call this girl in front of me, you tell her it’s over”. I tell him it's over, he starts screaming. I who don't like to be noticed, it's horrible, it's a terrible humiliation”he said.

« CWhat touched me was the reaction of lots of women who saw it and who told me that you can feel the declaration of love behind it, that I’m trying to say sorry”

An episode that is certainly painful but which Baptiste Lecaplain wanted to tell in his show. “Seven years later, I met my co-author and I asked him if we could do something with it. He said to me: “Yes because it ends well”. Sure enough, we got back together and had our second child. But he said to me: “On the other hand, you must not be gentle with yourself”»he continued. Seated to his right, Audrey Dana interrupted him to find out if he had warned his partner of his idea.

“That’s the little subtlety of the thinghe replied, laughing. I told him: “It talks a little about you” but I don't dare talk to him about it and I invite him to Brussels. We spend the weekend together. I tell him: “Sit in the room and you will see the show” His manager intervened once again, telling him only that Baptiste Lecaplain intended to reconsider his infidelity. “By the time the sketch arrives, I take good care of it, I do everything well and I see it at the exit. We waited a bit before debriefing. She told me: “It’s not my favorite sketch but I thought it was good”. I gave him time to digest. But what touched me was the reaction of lots of women who saw it and who told me that you can feel the declaration of love behind it, that I’m trying to say sorry”he concluded.
