Almost every evening RMC In L’AfterDaniel Riolo has always been as frank in his analyzes for several years. As for his partner, Géraldine Maillet, she also does not hesitate to say what she thinks, every evening, around the table of the show presented by Cyril Hanouna: TPMP.

However, the statements of both do not always suit listeners and viewers. The couple has never hidden it, they are often the target of criticism and insults from Internet users. But recently, the insults have become even more violent.

The banner that shocked him

In any case, this is what the lovebirds suggested during their visit to Le Figaro La Nuit. Facing Thibaut Gauthier, Daniel Riolo and Géraldine Maillet spoke, unvarnished, of the many insults they face on a daily basis.

If the insults have gained momentum, it is because the sports journalist described the banner of the Collectif Ultra , last November 8 in the Champions League, “to stack”. As a reminder, the Auteuil turn of the Parc des Princes had deployed a tarpaulin accompanied by a banner on which it was possible to read: “Free Palestine, war on the ground but peace in the world.

Géraldine Maillet's companion, not always “insensitive” to insults

Daniel Riolo appreciated this last message, but not the banner in which the “I” of Palestine totally erased Israel. In fact, the journalist from RMC decided to speak out again on the subject. “We have the impression that things remain frozen and you can tell people, 'Did you really hear everything? Do you know that the next day I talked about it again?', no, we have the impression that there is a moment that stops and we no longer want to listen to you”regrets the companion of Géraldine Maillet.

Before continuing: “And all you're going to say, all you want to correct, is no. We have the impression that you're carrying around this scar and that people are going to constantly come and stick the knife in it. That’s violent.”

The companion of Cyril Hanouna’s columnist explains that “on a football player or on PSG”he leaves “wrong”. But on “important questions like that which will affect people with whom [il est] friend (…), this is more problematic and that's okay [le] to touch.”

Daniel Riolo, a “coach” and a model for the “TPMP” columnist

Despite the many criticisms against him, Daniel Riolo gives the impression of being insensitive to the attacks he receives. Something to impress his partner. He's incredibly strong compared to that, there is nothing that shakes him in terms of social networks”assures Géraldine Maillet before adding: “It helps me a lot to understand that this is not real life.”

Géraldine Maillet does not stop there and continues: “I understand what Daniel is saying because when he develops a statement, there are arguments, a thesis, and on social networks they are bits of thoughts, shortcuts. So obviously you are assigned to one camp or another, (…) there is no nuance.”

She says she is lucky to share her life with Daniel Riolo. Thanks to him, she manages to have much more “of detachment”. “I don’t watch them at all.”she assures before continuing: “X, it’s over for me. It's a sort of gutter of thought, it's violence in its pure state, in its wild state. It's too hard, too many insults, insults, death threats…I don't look anymore. It's not real life, I've never seen someone in the street spit at me and say 'I'm going to kill you'.”
