The choristers of the Espalionnais college are preparing a video clip for the song “Voyage, Voyage” by Desireless, in partnership with the Club de .

The choir’s project continues and becomes clearer. Monday, November 18, the choristers from Louis-Denayrouze college met in the music room to finalize the script for the song’s video clip. “Journey, Journey” from Desireless, recorded in the studio at the Club in Rodez, at the beginning of October.

Pauline Albouy, cultural manager of the Club and the Oc’Live association, intervened to help build and organize the different shots of the scenario before cameraman Julien Bresson came to the college, scheduled for Tuesday December 17.

Valérie Calmettes, professor of musical education and choral singing at the college, and Hélène Sarda, professor of documentation, assisted Pauline Albouy in this work.

Espalion in the spotlight

The scenario is finished thanks to the original ideas of the singers, their efficiency, their enthusiasm and their involvement in the project.

The town of Espalion will be highlighted because numerous shots will be filmed in several emblematic places of the city.

The choristers also made objects with the help of Marie Alix Champredonde, plastic arts teacher at the college and experiments will be carried out and filmed in the SVT and physics-chemistry room. The students will be supervised by Sandrine Roujon Cailleau and Rachel Fournié, teachers in these two disciplines.

Two concerts scheduled

In three weeks, everything will be in the box. Julien Bresson will then be responsible for creating the video clip. During this time, the choir continues to work on its repertoire of songs around the theme of travel: “Flying by night” by Calogero, “Cuba” by the Gibson Brothers, a canon “Pas d’Argentina”, “Farafina Mousso” by Lubiana and Gaël Faye.

Two concerts are already scheduled, the first at the Espalion retirement home, Thursday April 10 at 2 p.m., the second in the Espalion church, Friday May 23 at 6:30 p.m. Two opportunities to say a big congratulations to the thirty choristers for their commitment to this work which requires rigor and diligent involvement, as well as many teachers at the college, Isabelle Bessière, mathematics teacher and choir director, Manon Corouge and Julie Agut, French teachers, and Lionel Cayrol, history-geography and Occitan teacher, who are also involved voluntarily in this project that Valérie Calmettes could not carry out alone.
