An unprecedented collaboration between the private channel and the streaming giant, and entitled “All for Light”, this series produced by Newen Studios will immerse spectators in a world of dance, music and the quest for glory, all under the sun of (Bouches-du-Rhône). The main setting of this new series will be the city on the Mediterranean coast, where the exteriors and the artistic studio “Lumière”, the epicenter of the story, will be filmed. The interiors will come to life on the sets of La Belle de Mai in , already used for “Plus belle la vie, even plus belle”.

Inspired by classics like “Fame”, “Glee” and “Un, dos, tres”, the series will follow a group of young talents evolving in an artistic studio, guided by demanding coaches. “The world of music and dance arouses strong emotions”underlines Pierre Branco, general director of Newen Studios. Casting for the series remains a mystery, but the process is underway. “It's still too early to give names.”specifies the producer, while emphasizing the versatility required of future stars of the soap opera. “We rely on multi-talented actors, capable of evolving in these demanding environments.

With its 90 20-minute episodes, “All for Light” innovates in terms of broadcasting. “The series will be filmed in the first half of 2025 and broadcast on Netflix, 5 days before the free broadcast on TF1“, explains TF1 in a press release, published this morning. “We will offer one episode per day, like a real daily soap opera“, explains Pauline Dauvin, vice-president in charge of content at Netflix . This synchronized broadcasting strategy between two audiovisual giants is, according to Xavier Gandon, a “world premiere” : “We predict two successes which will lead to each other, thus creating a new model of diffusion, virtuous and innovative.

For Netflix, this project is a double opportunity: to strengthen its French production, with the aim of going from five premium series to eight by 2026 or 2027, and to respond to the growing interest of subscribers for the daily soap opera. “Our subscribers consume an average of six different genres per month.”specifies Pauline Dauvin, who sees in this series a way to further broaden this diversity. Filming should begin in the first quarter of 2025, with broadcast planned before the summer on Netflix, followed closely by TF1. In the meantime, the teams are preparing to take on the challenge of this fourth daily soap opera.
