The Effet Mer Festival returns to the quayside of the Cité de la Mer from Thursday

The Sea Effect Festivalorganized by the CherBougeToi association, will take over the quay of the Cité de la Mer, at Cherbourg (Sleeve), from Thursday July 4 to Saturday July 6 inclusive. Animations, a village of creatorsof the concertsa DJ evening, dancing, jeux… In short, everything you need to enjoy the start of the summer season, with a fun theme for this new edition: that of pirates !

L’association DearMoveToi has prepared a busy program of activities for the whole family! During the 3 days festival, find the caravan on wheels to immortalize your most beautiful pirate smile, the village of creators to do your shopping before setting sail again and the Gibao game to train your speed in your fights!

From creatorsyou can find Mimosa & tralala, La Pie qui court, Peinturlurée by La Pie, Atelier Lunae, Baz’art et créa, Papier libre, Sillages Cherbourg, La Calinette, Le tisserin tisse, Comptoir Colibri, Cha’lettering, La fée Cotentine, Minute Papillon, Darcy, Fosticréa, Sea Artisan, Yukouli, Culture seconde, My key to happiness, En boucles by elles, Decology, Coco Coud, Clair’Art&Wood, Manon Lejuez-Albanese, Esprit marinière, and Rêves d’embruns.

Creators’ Villages, Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday, Saturday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On Saturday, you can try your hand at fencingthen wander through the community village to discover the workshops offered. And for the youngest pirates, go to the stand makeup before leaving for the treasure hunt of Blackbeard.

But the big news this year is… the giant zip line ! The tree-climbing, its 12 meter high mast and that’s it 70 meter long zip linewill be accessible to cabin boys weighing less than 60 kg on Friday and Saturday. And boarding can only be done with closed shoes.

Music side at the Effet Mer Festival

On Thursday night, come dance to a general playlist starting at 11 p.m. On Friday, find 3 groups of musical styles varied during the concert evening from 8:30 p.m.:

• Rusthead (rock)
• Zarhzä (world music)
• Next to the Killukrew collective

On Saturday, to liven up the afternoon, a duo of pirate musicians will wander around the festival, then Electro Waves will close the evening from 8 p.m.
