Until Friday 16 August, the Enghien summer meeting will be in full swing (17 meetings are still scheduled); and this Saturday, no fewer than three Group IIIs will compete on the Soisy plateau. Honour goes to the 3-year-olds, who will meet in the Prix de Rome (European race over 2,150 metres). An event that lives up to its name because it is a competitor of Italian origin who will be in the spotlight: Frank Gio (already declared with Matthieu Abrivard), winner of his last three outings in France, including the Prix Penthésiléa and Prix de Gien. Facing him, there are still Leonardo Roc (G. Gelormini), fourth in the Prix Albert Viel (Gr. I), Lady (Cl. Duvaldestin), Castelle’s length or Little Brownto name just a few. In the Prix du Louvre (4 and 5 year olds – Euro race over 2,875 metres), there are 19 entries. Jiosco de Phyt’swinner of the Prix de Grasse during the “Champions Day” in Vincennes, is still in the running, like Gericault, Desire of Esi, Just A Midi without forgetting Kamehamehanot seen since September 2023. Finally, there are 35 of them entered in the Prix de la Manche (5 to 11 years old – Euro race over 2,875 meters). Star of the 2024 GNT, Igrec de Celland could find a nice commitment at the limit of retreat, just like Harley Gemawho remains on two victories, without forgetting Hannibal Tuilerie. At 25 meters, Echo of Chanlecy, Gaspar de Brion, Gaspar d’Angis, Harlem of Bucywithout forgetting Gamay of the Iton or Josh Power (Criterium des 4 ans 2023), not seen since this winter, are registered. The forfeits will take place on Wednesday, in the morning.
