This Wednesday, the artist Saype will create a new giant fresco in Villars: the public is welcome!

The contemporary artist Saype returns to Villars-sur-Ollon on July 3, 2024 to create a new giant fresco at the top of the Grand Chamossaire. On this occasion, the public is invited to come and observe the artist in the creative process here. To get there, nothing could be simpler! Just take the BVB train to Bretaye, follow the signs and go up with the Grand Chamossaire chairlift, open every day until August 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Exact location of the work

Visible for about a month depending on weather conditions, the new fresco, whose name is currently kept secret, will play poetically with the celestial universe! Indeed, Saype’s works aim to capture the fragility of our societies and the challenges we are called upon to face in the near future. These unique creations are made from an eco-responsible paint, composed mainly of chalk and charcoal.

This immersion in the heart of an alpine landscape can be completed with the discovery of the new Dolce Vista sensory cabin which has just been inaugurated at the top of the Grand Chamossaire. Facing the void, it offers visitors a dizzying experience combining sight, sound and imagination.

Three events called “Golden Hour” will also allow visitors to live these two experiences intensely in the unique atmosphere of the early evening, with the Grand Chamossaire chairlift open from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on July 13, August 3 and 24!
