We loved seeing the resumption of Starmaniaimagined before the 80s by Luc Plamondon and Michel Berger. Almost 40 people on stage, supported by choreographies of Sidi Larbi Cherkaouithe brilliant Victor Le Masnemusical director of this new version and Thomas Jollydirector, artistic director of the ceremonies for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The idea was to bring the story back to the fore; the hits had taken over.

We are at Monopolis and the future does not look very bright for the inhabitants of the capital of the West. Young people drown their despair in reality TVdream of glory, and Zéro Janvier prepares to rule the world with an iron fist.
In the city slums (at the Underground Café), a depressed waitress (known as an automaton) meets a gang of terrorists who wants to destroy everything. To make themselves known, they decide to give an interview to Cristal (the star presenter of Starmania)… Spoiler : it doesn’t end well. And our waitress at the end is still depressed.
