Streamer Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch two years ago after interacting with minors, and now he’s losing his YouTube monetization.

Endgame for Dr Disrespect? Two years after his ban from Twitch, the streamer has since evolved on Youtube, notably for lives featuring this grandiloquent character played by Guy Beahm. But the revelations about his 2022 ban may well make him stop all activity.

Youtube Cuts Funds to Dr Disrespect

On June 26, we learned that Dr Disrespect had been banned from Twitch due to exchanges deemed sufficiently characterized by the platform, with minors. The streamer had revealed the real reason after many rumors about https://twitter.com/DrDisrespect/status/1805668256088572089despite having signed a non-disclosure clause. YouTube decided to crack down, as the company decided to simply demonetize his channel.

In a statement sent to the media, YouTube explained that it had “suspended Dr Disrespect’s channel from the YouTube Partner Program following serious allegations against the creator.”

Dr Disrespect can continue to stream and post videos on his channel, but he can no longer earn money through the platform’s advertising system: “This action means that the channel is no longer able to be monetized on Youtube.”

This is a real blow for Dr Disrespect who has not spoken on the subject since his press release published on June 25. This is also not the first time that Youtube has made this type of decision. In 2022, she had already demonetized Norman Thavaud’s channel after accusations of sexual assault, but also other accounts spreading false information and hateful content.
