“Masked singers”: Sam Breton gets his hands on the Golden Ear

Comedian Sam Breton got his hands on the Golden Ear on Sunday evening during the grand finale of the show Masked singers. A prize that he won for the second time.

The investigating judge, who was more involved than ever this season, guessed the greatest number of masked people.

“Season after season, I am always so intense to find who is hiding in the costumes. It’s been a good season [à ce niveau-là]. Plus, I had more time this year. The other seasons, I was always on tour at the same time, but there, I didn’t have any shows and I really got involved,” he said with a laugh, indicating that he had flashes and epiphanies during at night or his daily tasks, for which he would suddenly drop everything in order to search the Internet and confirm his hypotheses.

“I spent a lot of time researching the smallest details, during filming and downtime. I scrutinized the physique of the singers, their way of moving. Additionally, the costumes this season were less extensive than other years; we had access to the arms and legs. With Anouk, we were analyzing the calves,” he continued.

This season, the comedian fell in love with the three finalists, particularly for the voice of the Swan and the entire work of the Zebra.

“The person who surprised me the most throughout the show was Betty Beth. For the choice of his songs, his voice, his way of moving. She got into the choreography well. She was my little candy, my little nana,” he admitted.

Sam Breton is quietly preparing to return to the stage and is currently breaking new material in bars, comedy clubs and corporate events, but everything is still in the embryonic stage, he stressed during an interview he gave to the QMI Agency.

“We’re putting oil back into the machine, we’re having fun and we’re going to see what will survive for the second show. I’m really in fashion: I have ideas, pieces of paper that I bring on stage, I improvise with the world, and we’ll see where it will take us,” he said.

On December 7, Sam Breton will participate in The fury. He will notably team up with Félix-Antoine Tremblay, who personified the Owl this season in Masked singerson the guys’ team. At the same time, he will face his colleague Mélissa Bédard, who will be on the girls’ team with Debbie Lynch-White (the Unicorn).
