At first glance, at the heart of the Garorock festival, a drop in attendance compared to the 2023 edition was felt. This was confirmed in a press release sent by the communications team. In all, these are 120,000 festival-goers who participated in the 28th edition, against 150,000 a year earlier.

At the campsite level, it welcomed 80,000 peoplewhich remains very interesting.

Other festivals at the same time

So how can we explain this drop in attendance? Firstly, by the drop in purchasing power, of course. 4 day pass remaining quite expensive (230 euros).

But above all, other festivals were taking place at the same time in France. Indeed, the Hellfest Festival in Clisson and the festival Solidays were held at the same time in France.

Finally, according to several testimonies collected, the programming seemed less flashy than last year according to festival-goers. Remember that in 2023, with 150,000 entries, Garorock had a record year.

No dates for 2025 yet

The fact remains that the 2024 edition has reserved its lot of surprises. And in particular a magnificent animation this Sunday June 30 in the early evening. Furthermore, Garorock has already arranged to meet its festival-goers in 2025.

The official dates have not yet been communicated but it is a safe bet that the event will take place during last weekend of June.
