According to several Canadian and American media, the politician went there with his ex-wife Sophie Grégoire and his daughter Ella-Grace.

Mme Grégoire immortalized the moment on his Instagram page.

In a video captured by a fan at the concert, we can see Justin Trudeau dancing to a melody played before the American singer took the stage.

Criticized by conservatives

Pierre Poilievre, the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, used the viral video to accuse his political opponent of “dancing and [de] take selfies” instead of condemning the “anti-Semitic riots in Montreal”.

The director of the Police Department of the City of Montreal, Fady Dagher, however clarified during a press briefing on Saturday that this was not an event that had been confirmed as anti-Semitic for the moment, lack of evidence.

This reaction from Poilievre came a few minutes before Justin Trudeau condemned the excesses experienced in the metropolis by calling them “appalling”.
