A very good actor was offered a role at DC. He turned it down but is keen on a role at Marvel.
Superhero movie sirens have been singing for a long time now. With the proliferation of comic book adaptations over the past 15 years, many actors have been able to star in both DC films and MCU projects : Michael Keaton was Batman then The Vulture, Ben Affleck, for his part, played Daredevil then Batman, and there are also lesser known cases, like Randall Park, who appeared the same year in Aquaman et Ant-Man and the Wasp.
For some, like Affleck in particular, this move to the other team allowed a second chance after a disastrous first attempt. This is also the case for Ryan Reynolds, who, long before having his films Deadpoolstarred in what is often considered one of the worst comic book adaptations in cinema history: Green Lantern. This is seen as a catastrophe, and an actor who was offered the role must have felt the blow, seeing as he refused to play Hal Jordan.

It was during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the actor Jon Hamm, star among others of Mad Menconfirmed the information. He also said more about superhero movies in general, including his desire to participate in the great adventure that is the MCU.
In this same interview, the actor did not close the door to anyone, specifying: “ I talk to the people who run Marvel and DC. And I’m a comic book fan“. Perhaps we will see Jon Hamm one day alongside Benedict Cumberbatch or Tom Holland in an MCU film, or alongside David Corenswet in the DCU, in any case, he is not closed to the idea .
A few years ago, he even said he was interested in the role of Doctor Doom, but given that Fantastic Four MCU version is already in production, with a release scheduled for July 25, 2025, he will probably have to wait for another role.
