Robbie Williams has expressed his disappointment at being able to walk around London without being recognized.

The 50-year-old singer, who enjoyed huge success as a member of the band Take That and as a solo artist, has sold more than 75 million records worldwide. However, its glory seems to be fading. Walking through Hyde Park, in the British capital, last Sunday, without being recognized, Robbie Williams questioned his star status.

His wife Ayda Field filmed the singer, visibly unhappy, as they returned from a restaurant together. Robbie Williams complained: “It’s very worrying. We walk back through Hyde Park. I’m dressed entirely in pink. I have pink sneakers. I have diamond sunglasses and absolutely no one recognized me or bothered me,” he lamented. He honestly confessed, “It wasn’t like that in the 90s.”

Ayda Field continued to film the star lying on the grass, waving to passersby, but the audience still didn’t recognize him. Wounded in his ego but keeping his sense of humor, Robbie Williams has not given up on wanting to be recognized in the street. Tuesday June 25, the two spouses took to the streets of Kensington to see if any fans would recognize him. This time, the “Let Me Entertain You” singer wore a vest with his name emblazoned on the back. Good news: people can read! Robbie Williams was therefore delighted to see fans lining up to ask for selfies with him. Ayda Field shared the images on Instagram.

And to think that some artists complain about their fame and go so far as to fight with paparazzi.
