A pianist trained at the Valence Conservatory before specializing in the tuba, he also studied History at the University of Lyon and has taught in secondary schools since 2000. He plays regularly in harmony, symphonic, brass and jazz ensembles, with the Banda de Santiago de Cuba.

From Monday August 26, Nicolas Pommaret settles into his new jazz show from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday on France Musique, with Nathalie Piolé joining the 6 p.m. slot with Banzai.

Alex Dutilh passed the torch to him live this Wednesday June 26 in Open Jazz (show to listen to online). As the culmination of his 16 seasons of broadcasts, and his 43 years on France Musique, Alex Dutilh will close the page ofOpen Jazz on June 27 and 28 with his most intimate choices which are at the source of his passion.
