With his work The unknown woman in the portrait (editions Calmann-Lévy), Camille de Peretti is winner of the Maison de la presse prize. And as is a well-established tradition, it will be received at the Maison de la presse in Laissac, especially since its manager, Jérôme Prat, member of the jury for this literary prize, supported the book during the final deliberation at .

The unknown woman in the portrait is inspired by the incredible story of a painting by Gustave Klimt “Portrait of a Lady”.

From the streets of Vienna in 1900 to Texas in the 1980s, from the Manhattan of the Great Depression to contemporary Italy, the author offers us a masterful fresco where family secrets, dazzling successes, thwarted loves, disappearances and resounding tragedies combine.

After Éric Fouassier, Sophie De Baer and Adèle Bréau, the tradition of the visit to Laissac of the winner of the Maison de la presse prize continues with once again a wonderful meeting in perspective with this author who is enjoying great literary success in this year 2024. Camille de Peretti will be in Laissac, Friday November 22 for a meeting-signing evening from 8 p.m., town hall room.
