The accessory is in season. It was a little less so this summer at Paléo, when Hoshi arrived on the Vega stage, still flooded with sunlight, equipped with an… umbrella. We then think of these Japanese umbrellas, a country which inspired the singer so much, even her stage name – Hoshi, for “star”.
It was also watching a Studio Ghibli film that he came up with the idea of the oilcloth – in particular this scene where the character of My neighbor Totoro, half-cat, half-panda creature, brandishes an umbrella too small for him. At Hoshi, this will result in an album released last year, Umbrella heart, which she takes everywhere on tour, with a new French-speaking stopover in Geneva on November 27.
