Music, dance and above all magic await you at the Théâtre du Casino barrier from Lille (North), with the spectacle « Fabricurious ». The new creation of the Barrière Group is presented since Saturday November 9, 2024 and will run until May 2025for a total of 35 performances. On the program: an immersion in a crazy cabaretwhich will make you vibrate, dance, and maybe even (probably) sing!
A fantastic and dreamlike universe, from the moment you enter the room
Those who have seen the previous creations of Alexis Meriaux know thata Broadway show awaits them. After “Memphis Show”, “Cubanista”, “Back to Fever Night” and “In my 80’s”, this entertainment enthusiast returns with something new this season, “Fabricurious”.
In this 8e Lille creationmore than the story of touching characters, who go through key moments of their lives in a chosen era, you will embark in a singular universe, alongside surprising creatures… This “journey” begins even before the show, with an open curtain in the room! Alexis Meriaux took care to think of the details to “immerse spectators in a fantastic and dreamlike universe from the moment they enter the room with the decorations and the mechanical universe of this factory of curiosities”.
The casino promises with this show, proposed in a classic show or dinner-show formula“an unforgettable evening. […] Accept our crazy invitation, in the form of a crazy cabaret, in a scintillating, captivating and touching universe.”
Directed by Alexis Meriaux, assisted by Alexandre Bussereau, we will admire choreographies by Raffaele Lucania, to titles orchestrated by Xavier Bugaj. We will also find what makes the charm of Lille’s “house” creations: well-known titles, re-orchestrated and performed live by hand-selected musicians and singers.
A “forgotten place” that contains mechanical creatures
Here is the presentation of the show, which will be provided by 16 artists on stage, including six musicians : “This forgotten place contains some of the mechanical creatures that made it famous as well as the sector of their design. These quasi-human beings, devoid of emotions, will transport us into their offbeat universe in order to transgress the codes and discover the limits between Humanity and the machine. »
Alexis Meriaux evokes “characters borrowed from caricatures to which we become attached, but which above all allow us to deliver messagesand of nourish safe thoughts: the influence of time, filiation, human relationships and the place of the machine so that everyone finds a personal resonance.” It’s up to the public to get involved!
