Three Moroccan haute couture houses graced the Parisian public with an exceptional show on Sunday evening, highlighting the know-how of the artisans who have sublimated the Caftan, this symbol of the ancestral and authentic heritage of the Kingdom.

The Moroccan Caftan fashion show, signed by Amina Benzekri Benrahal, L’Altière Maison de Couture and Hind Berrada, was the highlight of the Oriental Fashion Show organized in a large palace in the French capital, at the initiative of the oriental fashion expert Hind Joudar.

“Through this fashion show, I wanted to show both the originality and authenticity of the Moroccan Caftan, but also its universal dimension by presenting it among other creations from countries imbued with oriental culture such as Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan or even Tunisia,” Ms. Joudar, founder of the “Silk Route and Al Andalus” association, which aims to promote traditional oriental clothing and has around a hundred members, told MAP. member stylists.

“Today’s event comes a few days after the first Fashion Week that we launched in Tangier, with the aim of contributing to the influence of the Moroccan Caftan throughout the world and promoting national talents. The Parisian version, which is in its 13th edition, is part of this desire to highlight this precious heritage,” she underlined.

“The Moroccan caftan is my culture, it is my link with my country, its history, its traditions and its ancestral wealth. These are intangible elements that we need to strengthen our ties with our country and highlight our identity,” she added.

Placed under the theme of the “Silk Road”, the Oriental Fashion Show highlighted this symbol of national heritage through true works of art which illustrate the value of the know-how of Moroccan artisans.

The three Moroccan fashion houses competed in beauty and creativity during this parade, offering unique visions of their models by bringing a touch of modernity to this centuries-old heritage, while honoring the timeless beauty and elegance of the Caftan.

A true reference in the world of fashion, the Oriental Fashion Show brings together designers and creators from the four corners of the globe every year. It aims to be, according to its organizers, a bridge between the East and the West, celebrating the diversity and mixing of artistic influences.
