This year, the Day in the West, in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine) proposed by the Jazz à l’Ouest festival, will vibrate to the sound of the dancefloor. For a whole afternoon, the facilitators from the different sectors of the MJC (childhood-family, youth and game library) will offer workshops, shows, games and activities for young and old in the four corners of the MJC.
Animations
From 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.: games and toys for everyone, digital workshop (from 8 years old (children accompanied by an adult)), cocoon area for toddlers (0-6 years accompanied by an adult)
Sharing dances and grooves
Throughout her meetings and travels, Fatima Leghzal (Cie Dounia) has collected numerous dances from around the world. Come share your favorite steps or try dancing, and warm up before the Kinyonga dance concert!
Young audience show
Dream soundsby the Marmousse company, is an early childhood show (0-3 years) without words which tells the rhythm of the seasons through sounds, with instruments (voice, guitar, thunder drum, gong, shruti box (Indian instrument ) bellows, the kikonki with its hypnotic and crystalline sound, the musical frog, the music box, the anantar (Indian harp), the cuica, soundtracks
At 4 p.m.: registration on site at 3:30 p.m. (limited capacity), at 5 p.m.: registration on site at 4:30 p.m. (limited capacity). Duration 30 minutes, for ages 0-6 accompanied by an adult
Concert
The day will end at 4:30 p.m., in the large room for a concert to dance to the sound of afrobeat and funk with Kinyonga, as an invitation to groove and share inspired by Franco.
