“We were really lucky, we got through the drops!” says Lisa Dougoud, vice-president of the organizing association of the Bulloise Music Festival. On June 22 and 23, the Gruyère capital welcomed its 7e grind. An edition which took place without any major problems despite a threatening sky.

In total, around thirty concerts were offered in the city center. The artists performed on six stages, including two new ones (the Place des Alpes and the Jardin des Capucins). The performances planned for Saturday evening on the Market stage, with sounds including pop rock and punk blues, attracted “between 500 and 600 people”. On stage that evening: the bands Deep, Vision of dawn, Shuffle on and Deathless.

Although the rain did not prevent the concerts from taking place, the very wet ground forced the organizers to review their plan for the activities. Some, planned at the level of the castle moat, therefore in the grass, had to be moved. “This is the vinyl stand, entertainment and introduction to gymnastics as well as the children’s area,” explains the vice-president. These activities were able to take place on concrete, in a space closed to traffic, located between the castle and the Market Square.

The budget should be covered

According to Lisa Dougoud, the demonstration attracted between 3,000 and 4,000 people, a little less than last year. The budget of just over 35,000 francs should be covered thanks to “the support of the municipality, that of Loterie romande, sponsors”, and the association’s own funds. Note that nearly 50 volunteers helped.
