1 Circus Night in Boulazac and Nontron
The Agora de Boulazac will organize a Women’s Circus Night with meetings in Boulazac and Nontron. Three shows will be given on Friday, November 15 at the Cube Cirque in the Plaine de Lamoura. At 6:30 p.m., Mélissa Von Vépy, Franco-Swiss acrobat, will perform “Piano rubato” with musician Stéphan Oliva. They imagined a sound boat with an elongated cover representing a 5 meter high sail. This is where Mélissa will perform while Stéphan Oliva will accompany her on keyboard.
At 8 p.m., Alice Rende will translate an aspiration for freedom in her solo, “Fora”. A contortionist, she will evolve in a Plexiglas box, narrow and very high. At 10 p.m., Viivi Roiha will launch into an autofiction, “V”, which is the illustration of a journey. To enhance the performance, she reduced her rope to 2.50 meters, which makes the figures more difficult and renews the discipline.
The Agora will go to Nontron for the first time, to present under a big top, near the village hall, “Carmen n’est pas un opera”, Saturday November 16 at 8 p.m., then Sunday 17 at 5 p.m. At 60, Sylvie Delaire will get back on her trapeze and bring back to life her journey within the Morallès Family.
Practical. In Boulazac, there are very few places left. From 15 to 25 euros. No problem in Nontron, with tickets from 8 to 12 euros. Reservations on 05 53 35 59 65 or on the website agora-boulazac.fr.
2 A family portrait choreographed in Sarlat
Dance will be on display at the Sarlat cultural center on Friday, November 15, at 8:30 p.m. We are expecting Mehdi Kerkouche, a multi-talented artist, who has created choreographies for Angèle and Christine and the Queens. He is director of the National Choreographic Center of Créteil and Val-de-Marne.
In this “Portrait”, he explores the relationships within a family on the occasion of an inheritance, through expressive paintings often tinged with burlesque. It brings together nine dancers of different ages and backgrounds: hip-hop, street jazz, contemporary, circus… and fuses styles in an interpretation full of energy.
Practical. Prices: from 10 to 25 euros. Reservations on 05 53 31 09 49 or on the site sarlat-centreculturel.fr.
