FASHION WEEK – Celebrate “ humans who live together on earth. Pharrell Williams, singer but also stylist and creative director of the LVMH group, gave this Tuesday evening, June 18, the start of Paris Men’s Fashion Week at UNESCO, with a daring show on the theme of universalism and of diversity, called “ The world is Yours ” as you can see in our video.

For Louis Vuitton’s spring-summer 2025 collection, Pharrell Williams wanted to highlight a fashion show that “celebrates humans who live together on earth” And “the spirit of union”, explains the brand in a press release. A certain universalism made of humans of “the same flesh and the same blood”, she adds.

The models paraded to the music of a symphony orchestra, first by skin color, with silhouettes in matching tones. Black models wore suits “the blackest shade” never created by Vuitton, explains the brand, like a wink, about these inky velvets, embroidered with silver threads that catch the light. Mixed race models wore shades of brown and Caucasians were dressed in beige or white. Everyone came together for the grand finale.

In terms of silhouette, Vuitton dandies go from diplomat suits with smart briefcases to travelers in a hurry, with pilot looks in XXL hooded leather bombers and daring to wear caps and glasses.

This parade with a strong message took place under the symbol of the flags of the Nations, at the UNESCO palace, the agency in charge of education, science and culture.

The parade named ” The world is Yours “ also wanted to symbolize the union of “LVERS” friends of the brand from the four corners of the world, with the presence of the actor Omar Sy, the former football international Didier Drogba, the Nigerian singer Burna Boy and the French basketball player Victor Wembanyama.

The message, carried in a heavy political context in France, marked by an unprecedented score from the National Rally, resonated particularly with this front row composed almost exclusively of black personalities.

“We are living in a very tense period, France is opening up to the world like never before, with this parade, with the Olympics and we find ourselves with the possibility of a far-right government which terrifies us”declared director Djiby Kebe of the Kourtrajmé collective to AFP.
