“History is watching us,” they believe. 200 content creators and Internet personalities are calling to vote against the far right and for the New Popular Front during the early legislative elections, in a column published Monday.

“We, creators, Internet personalities, are calling for mobilization,” we can read in this column published on the Mediapart Club, signed by the videographers Antoine Daniel, Benjamin Brillaud (Nota Bene), Ultia or mistermv.

Several influencers come out of their reserves

“History is watching us and we have until Sunday June 30, the first round of the legislative elections, to encourage our communities to vote,” they write. Believing that “the extreme right was not, is not, and will never be the solution”, the authors call for choosing the New Popular Front, the only bulletin which according to them will make it possible to “defeat the extreme right” , “respond to the ecological emergency”, or “safeguard public services”.

“The scope of our collective speech obliges us. The time for silence is over. Creators, creators, Internet personalities: let’s mobilize! », conclude these personalities, united under the banner of “Popular Stream”.

Several famous influencers, usually more reserved on politics, have recently taken a stand. The videographer Squeezie, the second most followed YouTuber in France with 18.9 million subscribers, notably denounced the “hateful and destructive” ideology of the RN in a long letter to his subscribers.
