After the two evenings of the 6th edition, the organizers are already looking into next year’s programming.
The Socquette Légère festival returned last weekend under the canal bridge, not far from Café Vélo, for a 6e frenzied edition. Techno, hip-hop, indie rock, voodoo rock… There was really something for all musical styles! Between each concert, DJ sets provided by DJ Kosmopolit and Boucan Sultan made it possible to wait while listening to music. Without forgetting the famous interactive mapping which also punctuated this alternative musical festival.
Among the artists who performed on Friday evening, some locals but also artists sometimes coming from far away. Miserikorg offered techno machine tunes, the Bordeaux group from Natsyjoe performed indie rock/post punk, the Girondins from Chelabôm thrilled the audience with the sounds of soul, hip-hop, jazz and electronic music. And do it again on Saturday evening, with new artists. Spectators were treated to voodoo rock with the Catalan/Italian duo Dame Area, a performance by the machinist rock and electro trance trio Foncedall… The most anticipated of all was undoubtedly Sunfruits. The 5 members of the Australian group, currently on tour in Europe, amazed the Agenais.
Objective fulfilled
The temperature there was rather warm. On a meteorological level, the forced cancellation of the second evening of last year’s edition undoubtedly remains in everyone’s minds, the catastrophe was avoided. The festival was not interrupted despite a scare on Friday with a few showers which did not discourage festival-goers.
Objective fulfilled. “Our goal is to make this festival accessible to as many people as possible, while introducing musical styles and genres, mapping, while promoting the Pont-Canal.” Nearly 2000 spectators attended. Now, time for the next edition which is already being prepared. To be continued…
