“Here is the summer, here is the summer) !” It’s already time for the Music Festival. And in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, it looks joyful and colorful.
This year again, summer begins at the best pace in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, where associations and municipalities have decided to come together to offer a rich musical program in the royal bastide.
This year, the bulk of the activities will take place at Place de la Fontaine for the voices and Place Notre-Dame for the dances.
Musical stroll through the streets
The 2024 edition of the famous festival includes a small novelty linked to the strong involvement of the commerce en bastide association, which has decided to bring in the Banda Bono from 7 p.m. for a musical stroll through the streets, and which will offer to liven up Place Notre-Dame, which will be occupied by cafeterias and food shops around the space where the dancers will perform.
For its part, Place Notre-Dame will also be rocked to the sound of the voices of Saint-Joseph students at 4:15 p.m., and the sounds of the carillon from 7 p.m. In the event of bad weather, the dances will be moved to the hall and the chapel of the Black Penitents.
An open stage
For its part, the youth center where the fountain workshops will offer an open stage from 6 p.m. with DJ and songs. This event will also be combined with the Environment Festival in which the cluster is participating.
Finally, also meet at 7 p.m. at the rue du Sénéchal conservatory for student piano auditions under the direction of Isabelle Rozeray.
