Soon the best baker in France? Yves Jehanne shares his good addresses in Toulouse

He will try to win the title of “Best bakery in France”. Yves Jehannemanager of the bakery and pastry shop of the same name in Balma, near Toulouse, won his place for the national final of the show on M6.

During the filming which will be broadcast in June 2024, the professional will face 15 other pairs on a given theme which he must keep secret. Originally from Toulouse, he shares his good addresses in the Pink City.

#1. A restaurant: Amafolia

“It’s a very pleasant restaurant in Balma, which offers a Mediterranean corner, right next to the metro. You can sit outside, under the parasols and enjoy a little breeze. Customers can also find our pastries in the à la carte desserts. »

#2. A cultural place: the Hall of the Illustrious at the Capitole

“With my three-year-old son, we like to stop in the Hall of the Illustrious of the Capitol. He is always very curious and very impressed by this place. »

#3. A district: the Carmes

“I hesitate a lot between Victor-Hugo and the Carmelites. But it’s true that the Carmes district is special, with a very Toulouse charm. I spent a lot of time in rue Mage, when I worked for Franck Renimel [le restaurant En Marge y avait pris place en 2007, NDLR] “.

For this upcoming grand finale, Yves Jehanne, accompanied by his baker and tourier, Remy Ampudiawill have to show ingenuity in order to surprise the jurors again.

Among them, chef Michel Sarran, whom the manager knew during his early days, when he was still a student at the Toulouse hotel high school. “In his kitchen, it was always very quiet. Everything was in order, there was serenity. It’s something that I kept from him,” explains the Balmanais.
