He is known for his tantrums on the set of the British equivalent of Kitchen nightmare. A little less for its alert messages. However, this is how we can describe the latest speech by chef Gordon Ramsay.

In a video posted on Instagram, with trembling hands, Gordon Ramsay spoke of a serious bicycle accident in which he “could have died”, by his own admission. For him, Father’s Day is the perfect opportunity to talk about this story.

“I don’t care how short the ride is. Wear a helmet »

“You know how much I love cycling. This week I had a serious accident. It shocked me,” he begins, thanking, in passing, the doctors who took care of him. “They were great,” he says.

You must wear a helmet. I don’t care how short the ride is, or how expensive the helmets are. They are crucial.

“Honestly I’m happy to be here. I’m lucky to be standing in front of you. I’m in pain, it’s been a tough week, but I’m going to get through it,” Gordon Ramsay continues, before lifting his top, revealing an impressive injury.

“I didn’t break any bones, but I’m pretty banged up,” commented Gordon Ramsay, showing off his impressive injury. (©Instagram screenshot Gordon Ramsay)

“I’m fine, and I don’t have any broken bones or serious injuries, but I’m pretty banged up, and I look like a purple potato,” the chef smiles. More or less its entire left side is a purplish color.

“Please wear a helmet,” Gordon Ramsay repeats again, visibly very touched by what has just happened to him.
