In Lorient, already twelve screenings on the bill of the new Ciné-club

The projects of Ciné pour tous, chaired by Nicolas Le Bihan, have joined those of EESAB, the higher art school of directed by Emmanuel Hermange. The Thursday film club will now be a monthly event at the EESAB auditorium and the first screening will take place on November 21 with Mullohand Drive by David Lynch.

“The convergence of our projects was immediate from our first interview,” explains Nicolas Le Bihan of Ciné pour tous. On the one hand, the observation of a lack of rooms in the city. On the other, the school’s desire to open up to cinema. The Eesab seemed to us to be the ideal place, it is a re-establishment for us in the artistic environment with the added enrichment of transgenerational work with students. »

Students involved in the project

“There are crossovers with our teachings,” continues Emmanuel Hermange, director of the art school. The art and story option for example and especially the communication option. The students participate in choosing the films, one of them, Dorian, will even be co-responsible for the club and three students will create the film posters. For us, it is a reopening of the School to the outside public and a project open to the city. We are really happy to discover or rediscover cinema masterpieces, and in a friendly atmosphere. »

On the student side, Auxane, Garance and Diane, 3rd year students, are already at work designing the poster for the first film, and there will be many others: twelve sessions are already scheduled until May, featuring in honor of the classics of world cinema.

Debate after each session

Yves Emery, secretary of Ciné Pour Tous, recalls their common desire to make cinema accessible to a wide audience. “The prices are low,” he explains, “it’s even free for EESAB students and each session will be followed by debates around the film.”
