Discover Lake Geneva differently

The original proposition “What’s ninety-nine?” will highlight the institutions that narrowly missed their centenary and the events in Lausanne that occurred 99, 199 and 499 years ago. Departing from Place de la Louve, relive 250 years of the life and history of the Lausanne written press. Come and discover Lake Geneva differently: through different true stories of pirates, shipwrecks and wrecks. A quartet of guides will read to you, in the enchanting setting of Villa Mon-Repos, a “Letter from the Indies”. Sent around 1780 by Antoine-Louis de Polier, native of rue de Bourg, to his sister Jeanne, it will show you the latter in the company of her cousin, the future Isabelle de Montolieu, and two friends.

Free tours to discover Lausanne are possible thanks to host guides, lovers of their city, who offer passing visitors, schools and their fellow citizens the pleasure of discovering the sites and the rich history of Lausanne. Two walks are specially designed for families. Children are always welcome, the guides will be happy to adapt to their needs. And four exits are designed for people with reduced mobility.

Lausanne summer walks on foot, from June 15 to September 12, 2024. Free, without registration. www.lausanne-a-pied.ch
