Police raids

As a reminder, Liam Payne died on October 16 when he fell from the balcony of his hotel room located on the third floor, in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires.

Investigators explained that the Briton had apparently “gone through a period of drug abuse”. He would have been alone in his room at the time of the tragedy. According to American media, toxicology tests revealed that the star had taken several different drugs before falling from the balcony.

The American media’s sources claim that investigators identified the latter thanks to SMS on his cell phone. The device in question was examined by police to find out who was selling him drugs. However, the individual was not not at his home at the time of the raid.

Police also searched hotel employee lockers and reviewed security footage from the CasaSur Palermo hotel.
