Three months after the release of his first composition “Muse”, the 21-year-old Ariège artist, Césari, unveils his new song “Drama Queen” with pop and funk accents.

Just three months after the release of her first title, Muse, on all streaming platforms (Deezer, Youtube and Spotify), the 21-year-old singer from Ariège, Césari, unveils her new single “Drama Queen” with pop and funk accents.

A piece written in his room with the help of Malo, a beatmaker met at the MJC in Pamiers, in October 2023. “For the first song, we had to take six months to do it, there we knew directly where we wanted to go “, says the young artist, who, for her second composition, wanted to express “the difficulty of being taken seriously when a woman honestly says what she feels”.

Already, in her first piece Muse, the Ariégeoise was inspired by her life and in particular by her high school years and this feeling of “not feeling in one’s place”. “It’s a time when you’re trying to fit in and you don’t always know where to go. It felt good to get it out, like I was leaving the past behind me.”

“It’s not a style we’re used to hearing in Ariège”

Music, more than an outlet, has become a passion for the woman who fell into it during her childhood, thanks to her parents who themselves played in groups. At only 21 years old, Césari has already tried the drums, the guitar, the ukulele, the piano… and already dreams of trying the bass to bring his touch to his mainly American inspirations. The singer is in fact a big fan of Billie Eilish and Mélanie Martinez.

With more than 5,000 streams on the Spotify platform, the title Muse is gradually attracting the public. A huge relief for the artist who, by experimenting with several styles, knows that the bet is risky. But the latter affirms, she likes challenges. “I was surprised by all the feedback, I didn’t expect to get so much. It makes me want to continue and I have the impression that I like it because it’s not a style that we have. “used to hearing in Ariège”, she expresses.

While waiting to be able, perhaps one day, to participate in a major festival to perform on stage and meet their audience, the duo will be present at the one organized by the MJC of Pamiers on June 14. An event whose aim is to highlight local artists.

And as the saying goes, never two without three, Césari and Malo are already working on a brand new title for the summer. This time in a genre that emerged at the end of the 60s, reggae!
